Introduced 2023 budget Bill including cryptocurrency taxation

On 29 November 2022, the Italian Minister of Economy and Finance introduced the 2023 budget Bill in the Italian Parliament. The Bill includes articles regulating cryptocurrencies with regard to their taxation, evaluation and regularisation. In particular, the Bill includes provisions modifying the taxation of cryptocurrencies, which would foresee a 26% tax rate on gains from digital assets for profits larger than EUR 2’000.
