China: TC260 opens consultation on wireless LAN client and access system security standards

On 30 September 2022, the National Information Security Standardisation Technical Committee (TC260) opened a consultation on two national standards called the "Security technology requirements on wireless local area network (WLAN) access system (Assessment Guarantee Level 2 Enhancement)" and "Security technology requirements on wireless local area network (WLAN) client (Assessment Assurance Level 2 Enhancement)" respectively. The documents outline the requirements pertaining to the security considerations, authentication processes, and privacy infrastructure of both WLAN access systems and WLAN clients. The consultation will close on 29 November 2022.
