Amended ANSSI guidelines on cyberthreats in relation to Ukraine conflict

On 15 March 2022, the French National Agency of cyber and systems security (ANSSI) amended its report on cybersecurity threats emerging from international tensions, especially the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The amendment emphasises that cybersecurity patches and other safety measures should be implemented as soon as possible to increase cybersecurity, both with regards to the prevention of first-time invasions and the correction of occurred cyberattacks. The amended report provides measures on how to react in the case of cyber incidents. On 2 March 2022, ANNSSI had published the report expanding on the cyberthreats with relation to the Russian invasion of Ukraine which may impact French entities. The report lists the type of attacks that occurred in connection to the conflict and explains best practices to limit cyber risks.
