Roskomnadzor requires TikTok to exclude military content from recommendations for minors

On 28 February 2022, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) sent a letter to TikTok, requiring the platform to exclude from its recommendations any content relating to the Russian military operations in Ukraine. Roskomnadzor stated that it had identified anti-Russian content recommended to minors on the TikTok network and thus called for the exclusion of military or political content from the platform recommendations.
