SAMR imposes fines for 10 breaches of merger laws

On 12 March 2021, China's State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) announced the imposition of fines on twelve companies for ten mergers in which the Anti-Monopoly law was breached. The companies in question have been fined CNY 500'000 each, and include tech and internet giants Tencent Holdings and Baidu Holdings.
