Vietnam: Issued MIC ruling suspending 49 licenses for G1 online video games

On 12 April 2024, the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) issued Decision No. 543/QD-BTTTT, leading to the temporary suspension of licenses for 49 enterprises providing G1 online video game services. This action, marking the second suspension for these services, was based on the enterprises' alleged failure to meet the required conditions after a written correction requested by the MIC and their failure to submit periodic reports to the MIC. The suspension, lasting for three months, could lead to the revocation of licenses if the violations are not corrected within the stipulated period.
