United States of America: Opened FCC Consultation into state of competition in the communications marketplace

On 22 April 2024, the Office for Economics and Analytics of the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) opened a public consultation on the state of competition in the communications marketplace. The consultation remains open until 6 June 2024. Biennially, the FCC is mandated to publish a Communications Marketplace Report assessing competition across various communication services, including voice, video, audio, data, and broadband, among diverse providers like telecoms, mobile, satellite, and internet service providers. The notice calls on input regarding the state of competition in the communications sector in general.
