Argentina: Issued CNDC decision approving Los Lapacho's acquisition of Bizland

On 15 February 2024, the Argentine Competition Authority (CNDC) authorised the acquisition of exclusive indirect control over the digital payment provider Bizland by Los Lapachos S.A controlled by Facundo Agustín Prado. The investigation concluded that the merger does not infringe Article 8 of Law No. 27.442, as it does not restrict or distort competition, thereby not resulting in harm to the general economic interest. It further does not generate horizontal or vertical relationships and could, therefore, be approved.
