China: Issued notice on adoption of eight recommended national standards plans for network security

On 3 April 2024, the National Standardization Administration Committee announced the issuance of eight recommended national standards plans for network security. The standards address password authentication systems, public key cryptography application technology, network identity authentication, data interface security risk monitoring methods, network security operation and maintenance implementation, and data security and personal information protection. These standards are aimed at enhancing the security of network hardware and equipment infrastructure. The notice calls for the working groups of each project to develop and implement a project promotion plan and calls for consultation, coordination, and adherence to "high-quality" standards to ensure the formulation and revision of national standards.
