Singapore: Adopted Cyber Security Agency advisory on detecting and responding to deepfake scams

On 21 March 2024, the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) published an advisory on detecting and responding to deepfake scams outlining detection and response measures for such type of content. The advisory addresses the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in creating convincing deepfakes, which can deceive users in scams or phishing attacks. The advisory emphasises the importance of assessing the message source, context, and aim and provides guidance on analysing audio-visual elements to identify manipulated content.
