Netherlands: Consultation closed on DPA inquiry into AI and algorithm risks in democratic processes

On 12 April 2024, the Data Protection Authority (DPA) in the Netherlands closed the consultation on Artificial intelligence (AI) and algorithm risks in democratic processes. The consultation aimed to gather input on the role of algorithms and AI in the information provision for democratic processes, including known and lesser-known risks, concrete examples, and measures to mitigate these risks. The consultation sought insights from experts and individuals with relevant knowledge to contribute to the upcoming report on AI and algorithm risks in the Netherlands.
