Description

Published Securities and Futures Commission's (SFC) Suspicious Virtual Asset Trading Platforms Alert List

On 4 March 2024, the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) issued a public warning against suspicious websites impersonating two licensed virtual asset trading platforms, Hash Blockchain Limited and OSL Digital Securities Limited. The websites hskexpro.com, hskex.com, hskexs.com, hskexit.com, oslexu.com, and oslint.com were added to the SFC's Suspicious Virtual Asset Trading Platforms Alert List following reports of fund withdrawal difficulties and high fees and taxes for fund withdrawal. The SFC has requested the Hong Kong Police Force to block access to these websites. The SFC also reminded the public to verify the legitimacy of a virtual asset trading platform before making any transactions and to use the SFC's Public Register of Licensed Persons and Registered Institutions and List of licensed virtual asset trading platforms for up-to-date information on licensed entities.
