Adopted EU regulation 2020/1056 on electronic freight transport information including Cybersecurity regulation

On 8 July 2020, the EU Parliament adopted the Council's first reading of EU regulation 2020/1056 on electronic freight transport information (eFTI). The regulation requires that the connection to the eFTI platform to display regulatory information to competent authorities must be authenticated and secure. Additionally, such platforms must be secure enough to guarantee the data is protected against corruption, theft, unauthorised processing and accidental damage. The Commission shall adopt delegated acts implementing the above, the first of which must be adopted before 21 August 2023.
