Closed Consultation on Draft Rules for Providing Public Electronic Communication Services

On 24 February 2024, the Regulatory Agency for Communications in Bosnia and Herzegovina closed a public consultation on the draft Rules on the Conditions of Providing Public Electronic Communication Services and Relations with End Users. The draft rules define the basic principles of providing public electronic communication services, obligations of operators and standards of quality for electronic communication services. The draft specifies that the users have the right to access and be updated on information on prices, tariffs, and service conditions and file complaints about service quality, conditions, or payment calculations Furthermore, the providers would be required to advertise maximum speeds in mobile networks and clarify conditions, resolve end-user complaints through certified measurements and offer termination without fees if the agreed broadband speed is not provided. The proposed legislation aims to align national legislation with the European Union's laws.
