Russia: Terminated Resolution on the simplified procedure for importing electronic devices and equipment (No. 2388)

On 31 December 2024, the Resolution on the simplified procedure for importing electronic devices and equipment (No. 2388) terminated. When it was first implemented, the Resolution amended the Resolution No. 834 of 9 May 2022, thereby continuing the simplified procedure for issuing permits for the import of products with encryption equipment (e.g. smartphones, laptops, etc.). In order to import these products, the Centre for Licensing, Certification and Protection of State Secrets of the Federal Security Service of Russia had to be notified and authorise the import.
