Ratified Council of Europe Convention No. 108 on Data Protection (CETS No. 223 Protocol)
On 7 September 2023, Switzerland ratified the amending Protocol to the Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of Personal Data (CETS 223). The CETS 223 is a globally recognised and legally binding agreement aimed at harmonising and aligning regulations related to personal data processing. It aims to safeguard every individual's rights in the context of personal data processing and to ensure robust protection for individuals' privacy in an increasingly digital world.
