Published report of campaign on "Optimising the Business Network Environment and Protecting the Legal Rights and Interests of Enterprises"

On 1 August 2023, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) published a summary report of the campaign "Optimising the Business Network Environment and Protecting the Legal Rights and Interests of Enterprises" under the larger "Qinglang" series of special actions for 2023 and announced its continuation. The report outlines the actions taken by the authority to prevent opening websites, registering accounts, and publishing false information using the names of other companies, entrepreneurs, and trademarks, as well as deliberately spreading rumours and negative publicity about private enterprises. Several platforms were required to check and handle complaints related to affected enterprises and entrepreneurs and to remove false information and accounts.
