Adopted Eleventh Russian sanctions package including export controls and restrictions on technologies

On 23 June 2023, the Council of the European Union adopted the eleventh package of sanctions against Russia. The eleventh package of sanctions includes export restrictions concerning dual-use goods and technologies for 87 entities determined to have directly supported Russia’s military and industrial complex. The added entities include businesses manufacturing unmanned aerial vehicles (drones). In addition, the package extends the list of restricted items with electronic components, semiconductor materials, manufacturing and testing equipment for electronic circuits, precursors to energetic materials and chemical weapons, optical components, navigational instruments, metals used in defence, and marine equipment.
