Introduced California SB 362 on data brokers (DELETE Act)

On 8 February 2023, California State Senator Becker introduced Senate Bill 362 to amend Section 1798.99.82 of the Civil Code relating to data brokers. This law aims at changing the date before which a data broker has to register with the Attorney General, pay a registration fee, and provide specified information from 31 January following each year in which a business meets the definition of a data broker to 15 February of that same year.
