China: Adopted Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence Regulation

On 8 September 2022, the Artificial Intelligence Regulation of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone was passed by the Congress of Shenzhen. The Regulation will promote the development of the AI industry by encouraging government agencies to be early adopters of AI related technology. Further, under the Regulations the local government will create a public data resource system for the AI industry and will develop public data sharing guidelines for organisations and companies in the AI sector.
