United Kingdom: Opened consultation on Governance of artificial intelligence (AI) inquiry

On 20 October 2022, the United Kingdom Parliament Science and Technology Committee launched an inquiry into the Governance of Artificial Intelligence (AI), specifically regarding its use in decision-making. It opened a public consultation until 25 November 2022. The consultation focuses on transparency and scrutiny of AI uses, as well as the adequacy of regulatory oversight in the UK compared to other countries. During the consultation, the Committee aims to gather information regarding the fitness of the current legal framework and how AI should be regulated.
