Philippines: Implemented Regulation Adjusting the Merger Notification Thresholds

On 16 September 2022, the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) implemented Resolution No. 18-2022 Adjusting the Merger Notification Thresholds, provisionally modifying the thresholds for companies to notify mergers and acquisition to the PCC. Under the Resolution, parties to a transaction should notify a merger or acquisition to the PCC if it exceeds PHP 2.5 billion pesos (USD 43 million) a company party to the transaction is worth more than PHP 6.1 billion pesos ($106.35 million).
