National Cybersecurity Standardisation Technical Committee closes consultation on six cybersecurity standard practice guidelines for AI-generated content

On 6 July 2025, the National Cybersecurity Standardisation Technical Committee of China (TC260) closes its public consultation on six cybersecurity standard practice guidelines related to artificial intelligence-generated content. The consultation centres on technical specifications for identifying and securing AI-generated content through metadata and detection methods. The documents include a general technical guide on metadata-based implicit identification, as well as specific guidelines for embedding metadata in image, text, audio, and video files. Another guideline addresses technologies for detecting AI-generated content across different formats. These standards aim to support the secure handling of AI-generated material in line with national cybersecurity requirements.
