Egypt: Adopted Regulatory Framework for operating Data Centers and providing hosting and cloud computing services

The Regulatory Framework for operating Data Centers and providing hosting and cloud computing services is approved by the Egyptian National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA). The Framework establishes when the providers need to obtain a license or are limited to a registration process, according to the geographical location of beneficiary clients, the type of service delivered and the scope of beneficiary clients. Furthermore, the Framework details the procedures to obtain a license or register.
