CMA launches investigation into mobile browsers and cloud gaming

On 22 November 2022, the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) announced the launch of a market investigation into Apple and Google's domination of the mobile browser market and Apple's restriction of cloud gaming through its App Store. The CMA had previously conducted a year-long study that found that Apple and Google have an effective duopoly on mobile ecosystems that allows them to exercise a stranglehold over operating systems, app stores, and web browsers on mobile devices.
