Introduced Illinois Bill including rules on predictive analytics in hiring

On 16 February 2021, the Illinois Bill amending the Equal Pay Act and the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act (HB 1811) was introduced in the House of Representatives of Illinois. The Bill would prohibit the use of predictive data analytics in creditworthiness assessment and employment decisions. Furthermore, the Bill specifies that predictive data analytics cannot include inferences about the race or postcode of the applicant/employee.
