On 24 August 2022, the governments of the United Kingdom and Ukraine announced the start of their negotiations on a new digital trade agreement. In particular, the new digital trade agreement aims to help Ukraine in its economic recovery after the Russian invasion. The agreement would focus on removing barriers to digital trade, cutting red tape and enabling Ukraine to trade with the UK more efficiently through technology such as electronic transactions, e-signatures, and e-contracts and facilitating UK companies to work with Ukrainian businesses.
