Published Algorithm List in the Internet Information Service Algorithm Filing System

On 12 August 2022, the Internet Information Office of the Chinese Cyberspace Administration (CAC) published a list of 30 algorithms used by companies including Alibaba, ByteDance, and Tencent Holdings Ltd. In March 2022, China obliged Internet information service companies to disclose and self-assess their algorithms through a submission to the "Internet Information Service Algorithm Filing System". The aim of the system is to curb data abuse and help the state to regulate internet companies more closely. The algorithm list, which includes a brief description of functions and applications, will be updated on an ongoing basis.
