Uzbekistan: Consultation closed on regulation including registration requirement for crypto mining

On 9 July 2022, the National Agency for Perspective Projects of Uzbekistan closed the consultation on the "Regulations on the procedure for registering the mining of crypto assets". The regulation subjects crypto mining to a mandatory registration requirement, which is valid for one year. Furthermore, mining can be carried out only by legal entities using electricity provided by a solar photovoltaic power plant.
