Anatel opened consultation on harmonisation of chargers input in mobile phones
On 28 June 2022, the National Telecommunication Agency (Anatel) opened a public consultation on the harmonisation of chargers input in mobile phones (45/2022). Based on the European Union's decision to harmonise electronic device chargers to the USB-C standard, the Brazilian authority intends to impose this type of connector as a standard for all mobile phones and chargers. The public consultation on the draft normative act is open until 26 August 2022.
