Adopted alert on critical infrastructure mitigation measures against Russian cyberthreats

On 15 February 2022, the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security published a cyberthreat bulletin titled "Cyber Centre reminds Canadian critical infrastructure operators to raise awareness and take mitigations against known Russian-backed cyber threat activity". In the context of growing international tensions between Russia and Ukraine, the bulletin recommends Canadian organisations to enhance protective measures against Russian cyberthreats. In particular, the bulletin suggests to prepare the isolation of critical infrastructure components from the Internet, increase vigilance, enhance cybersecurity, prepare a cyber incident response plan and inform the Centre for Cyber Security of any suspicious cyber activity.
