On 31 March 2022, the consultation on the White Paper on Competition Policy in the Digital Economy by the Fair Trade Commission of Taiwan closed. The White Paper explores the challenges in adapting conventional market assessments to the digital economy, the relationship between data protection and market competition and the legality of platform operators' practices such as self-preferencing, tying, predatory pricing, price discrimination, Most-Favored-Nation Clause, resale price maintenance, algorithm-facilitated collusion and online sales restrictions.
