United Kingdom: Launch of Microsoft/Nuance merger inquiry by the CMA

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has announced the launch of an inquiry into the merger between Microsoft Corporation and Nuance Communications, Inc., to understand whether such operation may cause a substantial lessening of competition within the United Kingdom's markets. Specifically, the healthcare transcription software market, the C&C software market and the administration tools, patient engagement tools and remote healthcare tools markets may be affected.
