Opened CMA investigation on console video gaming online services

The United Kingdom Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) launched an investigation into the supply of online gaming memberships for the Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft video game consoles (Nintendo Switch, Playstation and Xbox). In particular, the CMA intend to assess whether the business practices of these companies are legal, in particular as regards the terms and conditions, the options to opt-out and the auto-renewal practices for online gaming contracts.
