Introduced Electronic Transaction Levy Bill

The Electronic Transaction Levy is introduced in the Ghanaian Parliament. The Levy would comprise 1.75% and concern electronic transactions above GHS 100 (approx. USD 16) per day. Particularly, the levy would apply to mobile money transfers, transfers between bank accounts and mobile money accounts, and bank transfers on a digital platform or application between accounts belonging to different individuals.
