Description

Suspension of provisional measure prohibiting social media platforms from banning certain content by Supreme Federal Court

The Supreme Federal Court, the supreme court of Brazil, has suspended the provisional measure decree (No. 1068) prohibiting social media platforms from banning certain content. This move comes on the same day as the decree was returned to President Bolsonaro by the president of the Federal Senate, effectively also nullifying the measure and preventing it from entering into law.
