Switzerland: Opening of investigation for obstruction of competition

On 7 September 2021, the Swiss competition commission (WEKO) opened an investigation into Swisscom and their subsidiary "Directories" for allegedly obstructing competition. Directories is the publisher of the telephone directory and operator of "local.ch" and "search.ch". The alleged obstruction of competition was caused by the Directories product "Swiss List", which through abusive bundling limits the process of creating entries for the telephone directory greatly, the WEKO states. The investigation will take about two years.
